(The Adena Athletic Boosters will have their annual Turkey Noodle Dinner and Craft Bazaar
on Nov. 13. Parents can plan to enjoy while your daughter is at try outs!)
Pre registration for try outs is strongly suggested. Please see
information below.
Plan to try out in the age division that
corresponds to your birthdate. SOVC staff will determine if players will play up a
division after try outs.

At tryouts, we ask that the athletes wear a shirt with a number and/or
a name on it. The athletes will be assessed on their ability to
perform all volleyball skills and will be observed in game situations. Selections are
based on the athlete's performance during the try out period. Potential, competitiveness,
work ethic, ability to follow instruction and past history with the club are also
considered.
Remember,
you are trying out to be accepted in the club. Teams will be announced after player
acceptance contracts are returned. The goal of the club is to have at
least 8 players per team and there can be no more than 3 players from one
school on each team except for the 11's and 12's teams. 11's and
12's have no limit on players from the same school.
The SOVC reserves the right to withdraw any particular age division due to
lack of participation during tryouts.

the floor for the first tryout session, athletes must turn in the following documents:

The tryout fee is
$15.00 and is non-refundable.
Checks should be made
payable to Southern Ohio Volleyball Club
The
fee and the required documents must be turned in on or before the day of
tryouts.

After Tryouts
Within 3 days after tryouts for your age group have concluded, the
coaching staff will meet to determine which girls will be offered a contract to
participate in our program. The name of each athlete that is offered a spot on an SOVC
team will be posted on the web site( www.sovc.net
) . At that time you will be asked to sign and return your contract along with your
first payment.
You must return the signed contract with
your first installment of the fees within ten days of our offer, or it will be
withdrawn. Fees and contract are to be mailed to SOVC, c/o Laura
Smith, 49 Jessica Drive, Frankfort, OH 45628.
Once you sign the contract, you may not
play for any other USA Volleyball Junior program for the 2010-2011 season. |
