Another big congratulations for two SOVC players, Cameron Zinn and Kristin Phillips!
Cameron a setter from Vinton County Middle School and Kristin Phillips, middle hitter from Westfall have been selected to play on the Ohio Valley Region high performance travel team.  Woohoo Z and Kristin!!!    SOVC is proud of you.

Big Weekend at the Regionals for all of our 14's teams.    Coach Ridenour's 14's won the gold medal in the Regional Level Gold division.   Coach Hutton and Coach Neff teams took 3rd place in gold in the Regional Team Division.    Coach Smith's 14 American team took 3rd place in the American Level Gold division and bettered their 5th place finish from last season.

Wow, the wins just keep coming!    So proud of the work our coaches are putting into their teams to improve.    Wins are great, but improvement is what we're all about.   Individual improvement builds a stronger team; our results are the proof.    Check out the weekend of April 21 and 22:

Oops, Coach Howard's girls are sideways on the website, but their play at West Muskingum was straight on!   Congrats on another tournament win!

Coach Neff's 14's edged SOVC - Ridenour in the championship match at Sports Express in Mason on April 21.    A two set 25-20, 25-20 win for Coach Neff and her squad earned them another shirt!

Coach Tracey's team had to keep up with Coach Neff over the weekend to win shirts at Sports Express too!   The 15's won at Sports Express on Sunday, April 22.

The Weekend of April 14 and 15 was another successful weekend for SOVC.   Coach Howard's 13s finished 1st at Columbus Volleyball Academy.

2 SOVC teams take 1st in Gold at Buckeye VB Center
Coach Tracey and Coach Hutton led their teams to 1st place finishes in tournaments at Buckeye Volleyball Center in Columbus on Jan 20 and 21.     This was Coach Tracey's teams' second tournament of their winter season.   They took 3rd in gold a week ago.
Coach Hutton's team opened their winter season with a tournament win.      Coach Fuchs' winter team finished 3rd in Gold at Sports Express.

USA Volleyball is the governing body advancing the growth of volleyball in the U.S. The Ohio Valley Region, the largest in the country with over 1,000 teams and over 10,000 members, hosts a wide variety of tournaments, clinics, camps, and other events through which its members find challenge, growth as players and officials, and just plain fun.

The SOVC is a non-profit organization that offers girls (ages 10 to 18) the opportunity to play volleyball on teams consisting of players from other schools in all day tournaments usually within a 3 hour  radius of Chillicothe.  The goal of the SOVC is to field teams that are competitive in every tournament entered and to build on the players existing skills while teaching sportsmanship and leadership.
